All vacancies are advertised on the current vacancies page. Details of each role are set out in the job description and accompanying person specification.
Application form
The school is fully committed to safeguarding children and requires all job applicants to complete the school’s application form. All successful applicants undergo pre-employment screening. Applicants are also asked to complete an equal opportunities recruitment monitoring form which is not passed to the shortlisting panel and is used for statistical purposes only.
On the application form itself there is space provided for the applicant to give a supporting statement which should set out how the applicant would be successful in the role and how their skills and experience specifically match the criteria set out in the person specification. Applicants may submit a CV as an addendum to the fully completed application form but CVs will not be accepted on their own.
References
For all academic roles, references will be taken up prior to interview for those shortlisted for interview. References for other roles are taken up at the offer stage.
Shortlisting
Applications will be considered by a short listing panel following the advertised closing date. Invitations to interview will be emailed and contact may also be made by telephone, so applicants should ensure a daytime telephone number is included in their application.
Interview and selection exercises
Academic staff attending for interview will be asked to teach an observed lesson and complete other selection exercises as well as being interviewed. Support staff roles will be interviewed and selection exercises set where appropriate. All positions will be interviewed by a panel.
