Many congratulations to all our sixth formers for their outstanding successes this summer. We are proud to report that 83% of all A levels sat by our students were awarded grades A*-B. This has been Claremont’s largest upper sixth to date, with a cohort of 81 students, and results day has proved to be particularly joyous, with 96% of gaining places at their preferred universities.

While the vast majority of our students have opted to study at the big-name universities – UCL, KCL, Warwick, Exeter, Bristol and Durham proving particularly popular – with courses ranging from neuroscience to criminology, economics to law, veterinary medicine to climate science, a sizable number of our students have followed the more creative route in film making, fashion marketing, animation and musical theatre for which the smaller universities have the best reputation. Likewise, three of our students have gained fantastic apprenticeship opportunities. It is truly our desire to enable our students to fulfil their potential and follow their passions and it has been a great pleasure to see such genuine delight on the faces of all our students.

Mr Brierly, head

"Both of our children have done brilliantly at Claremont. It's been a great journey, with fabulous teachers providing the space to learn, supportive opportunities, and a fantastic environment that fosters independence. Where else would you rather be? Fantastic!"

Student Stories

Sophia

We are incredibly proud of Sophia for achieving an exceptional set of results: A*, A*, A* in Business Studies, Psychology, and Spanish. Her hard work and commitment have truly paid off, and she is now thrilled to be heading to Exeter University to pursue a degree in Business Management, which includes an exciting year in industry. This next step marks the beginning of a bright future, and we have no doubt that Sophia will excel in her studies and beyond.

Since joining Claremont in Year 7, Sophia has flourished in the school’s supportive and nurturing environment. Reflecting on her time at Claremont, Sophia says, “The teachers are so supportive; my results are a credit to their hard work. It’s definitely a joint effort, and without them, none of this would have been possible.”

As Sophia embarks on this exciting new chapter at Exeter University, we know she will continue to make the most of every opportunity that comes her way. We wish her the very best of luck at Exeter and look forward to hearing about her future successes.

Harry

Harry was ecstatic to receive A*, A*, A in Business Studies, Psychology, and English Language. His outstanding results have secured his place at his first-choice university, Bath, where he will study International Business. This achievement is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication, and it opens the door to an exciting future filled with possibilities.

His proud father reflected on Harry’s time at Claremont, saying, ‘Harry has done brilliantly at Claremont; it’s been a great journey.’

As Harry embarks on this next chapter, we all wish him the very best with his future steps. We have no doubt that he will make the most of all that Bath University has to offer, taking full advantage of the opportunities that come his way. We look forward to hearing about his continued successes.

Ella

Having achieved exceptional results of A*, A, A in Psychology, Biology, and Maths, Ella is over the moon to be heading to her first-choice university, UCL, where she will study Arts and Science. This accomplishment marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in her academic journey. However, before diving into university life, Ella has decided to take a gap year to travel the world, exploring new cultures and gaining valuable life experiences.

She’s eagerly looking forward to the adventures that lie ahead, despite the excitement of what’s to come, Ella already has one eye on the future, expressing her enthusiasm about returning to Claremont for the Class of 2024 ten-year reunion!

We are immensely proud of Ella’s achievements and can’t wait to see where her journey takes her. We look forward to welcoming her back in ten years to celebrate all her successes.

George

George is rightly proud of his outstanding results, having exceeded his own expectations by achieving A*, A, A in Politics, Economics, and History. His mother expressed her delight, saying, ‘He has achieved exactly what he needs to attend Birmingham University to study History, his first choice.’

Although George is sad to be leaving Claremont and his friends, he is ready to move forward into this new chapter with confidence in his character and abilities. His mother praised Claremont, describing it as ‘academic, with amazing pastoral care.’

As George prepares to embark on his university journey, we are confident that he will continue to thrive and make the most of the exciting opportunities that await him. We wish him all the best for the future and look forward to hearing about his achievements at Birmingham and beyond.
