Farewell and thank you to Betty after 54 years at Claremont. 💙 We cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for us as housekeeper. We wish you all the very best in your next chapter. 💐💫 “When I first came to work at Claremont in March 1972 things were very different. It was an all girls boarding school with pupils from all over the world. It was unlike the school I attended in the east end of Glasgow, which I left aged 14. I have watched the school grow to what it has become today. I found the mansion and grounds overwhelming at first. I will miss the school and all the staff, many of whom I have formed a close friendship, with many who have left over the years. I won't miss setting the alarm clock for 5.00am every morning, although I've never actually needed it. The 54 years have gone in a flash, which even surprises me!” – Betty Dear, Housekeeper #Claremont
